During this 10 session quilting course we will make a complete 12-block sampler quilt. Each session will be 3 hours long with tea, coffee and homemade cake provided. This course is aimed at sewers who are familiar with using a sewing machine, but are new to patchwork and quilting. Group size will be between 4 and 5 people to ensure everyone gets individual attention.Sessions will be every fortnight, Wednesday mornings 10am-1pm :
6th and 20th September 4th and 18th October 1st, 15th and 29th November 13th December 3rd and 17th January A variety of patchwork techniques will be covered in constructing the blocks, before moving on to sashing/borders, layering, quilting and binding to complete the quilt. Full course notes will be provided at each session. You will need to bring your own sewing machine, rotary cutting equipment and basic sewing kit.
