Important Information about Patchwork Fabrics All patchwork fabrics are 100% cotton with a nominal width of 112-114cm (42"-44") unless stated otherwise.
Due to the limitations of colour printing, image colours may vary from actual fabric colours, with certain colours (such as reds) being particularly difficult to reproduce. There is a larger image available for each fabric to give you a better idea of the design and colour. Use the images on this online shop only as a guide, please do not use them to colour match fabric.
Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept card payments. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). If you are shopping from outside the UK or using a non UK credit card your card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.
We accept both credit and debit cards from VISA and Mastercard. Unfortunately we no longer accept AMEX as they have substantially increased their charges. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. We only accept on-line payments
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, please contact us within 24 hrs of placing the order on (+44) 01582227808 and we will try to correct the mistake. Please note we try to dispatch orders on the same day that we receive them (or next business day for orders after 1pm on Saturday and Sunday). This means we may have already shipped your order when you contact us and are therefore unable to correct the order. In this case you will need to follow our returns policy.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Special offers and coupon codes may be made available from time to time on the website, in adverts and via our newsletter. All special offers and coupon codes have a limited period in which they can be used/redeemed. It may be necessary, and we reserve the right to withdraw offers ahead of the advertised end date.
For the aviodance of doubt; we reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if; we have been notified by our payment provider of issues in processing your payment; we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered; we do not deliver to your area; or one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers. If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order.
Shipping And Handling
We use Royal Mail for UK deliveries up to 2kg and Hermes courier service for parcels over 2kg and some bulky items. Parcels with a value of over £50 will need to be signed for on delivery. Orders over £50 will be sent free of charge to UK postal addresses using either Royal Mail signed for service (1st or 2nd class depending on weight) or Hermes signed for service. When you place an order you will be given a choice of whether you want your order to be sent 1st or 2nd class.

Postage for orders overseas is charged at the rates set out below. If for any reason the shipping costs are significantly above normal overseas postage rates (see rates by destinations below) we will send you an email to advise you on actual postage. In this case we will only proceed with the order when you confirm that the amended amount is acceptable.
If you are ordering from outside the UK your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency at the time the order is processed and the exchange rate will be shown on your credit card statement
Our standard international shipping does not allow tracking of parcels once they have left the UK. We cannot take responsibility for their delivery and we cannot accept any claim against loss from an overseas delivery address. We are able to provide premium shipping using an international courier service and provide you with a tracking number. This increases the shipping cost. Please select this service in the 'Class of Service' field during checkout if you want to have the parcel tracked internationally.

We aim to process orders as quickly as possible, usually within 1-2 working days. We will send you an email letting you know when your order has been dispatched
You should inform us within five working days of expected delivery date if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence. If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them, we will have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact address of the problem within 45 days of the date on which you ordered the goods.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

When the order is placed at our website, credit cards are processed by WorldPay using their highly secure web servers. The credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption by WorldPay. They are not visible or stored on the secret garden quilting website in any form.
Your satisfaction is important to us, so if you are not happy then please contact us within 14 days of the date of sale. We can then either offer you an alternative or give you instructions to send the item back for a refund. Please note that we can only offer refunds on orders returned in the original packaging (for example; if you wish to return a jelly roll then please do not unwrap it). Please note that we do not refund any postage costs. If you are posting goods to us for exchange or refund, please obtain a proof of posting as we cannot be held responsible for items that are damaged or lost in the post

If you are unhappy with your purchase you can return an item to us. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery. Within the European Union, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days beginning the day after the date that the item is delivered. It must be in its original condition and returned to us at our address shown above. Pattern PDF downloads and printed patterns that have their seals broken cannot be refunded. Please call us or email us for a Returns Number. We recommend that you receive a proof of posting and send it by recorded delivery. We can only process the refund monies once we receive the goods back at our shop. Please note that we can only offer refunds on orders returned in the original packaging (for example; if you wish to return a jelly roll then please do not unwrap it). We cannot accept returns of fabric cut to your specific requirements. We will issue a full refund less any discount that was applied to the item . Please also note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective and therefore postage and packaging charges are refundable. If we have to collect an item for you we reserve the right to recover the costs of collection from you. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Damaged, defective or incorrect items Please call or email us if you have a problem with an item that is damaged or defective. We will give you a Returns Number and discuss arrangements for rectifying the problem (including return postage method). We will refund the delivery charges incurred in returning the item to us by crediting back to your card the agreed postage costs incurred. We will apply the refund once the items are at the company premises. We check all items returned to us and if we cannot find a fault, we reserve the right to withhold the refund or re-charge you for the item(s) and to recover any costs incurred in recovering it from you.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder. These terms apply to your order. We may need to change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to any future orders.
Changes to legal notices We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible.
Law, jurisdiction and language This website, any content contained therein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts are concluded in English.
Invalidity If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
Third party rights Nothing in this Agreement is intended to, nor shall it confer any rights on a third party.
